New distribution-agreement for NORDIC POLYMERS with INEOS-NOVA EMPERA Polystyrene.

From 1/9-2009 INEOS-NOVA is among the partners, that Nordic Polymers represents.

With the appointment of our new partner Nordic Polymers - we have focused on getting a cost-effective and competent Distributor on board - that in a dedicated way will secure us, that we achieve as broad a presence as possible for our EMPERA Polystyrene in the Nordic market among customers, that uses from a few hundred kilos per shipment up to fulload deliveries of 25 ton, says European Distribution Manager Rob Vroegindeweij from Ineos-Nova.

We are very proud to receive the recognition from INEOS-NOVA with the appointment as Distributor for EMPERA Polystyrene in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, says Peter Arentz and Henrik Hansen from Nordic Polymers.

Since we started in Nordic Polymers in February this year, we’ve had a good growth of customers which for us confirms the strength in our local warehouse, flexible and experienced set-up - and with this new agreement we can now also be attractive on mouldings and projects at a broader customer range with the support from a strong and major volume polymer producer like INEOS-NOVA.

Among the polystyrene producers - INEOS-NOVA has the broadest range of products – from the very easy flowing crystal PS EMPERA 116 with melt flow of 23 cm3/10 min. to the extreme high impact grade EMPERA 641F with impact strength of 14 kJ/m2 – and this range of products enables us to match almost any technical need in the Polystyrene Market.

We will in particular focus on selling products from the high-efficient INEOS-NOVA Polystyrene plant located in Trelleborg. The location itself in the South of Sweden secures us short delivery times which fits perfect with our concept of close cooperation with our customers in our ”House of Plastics & Possibilities”.

Perrite, a leader in the manufacture of speciality engineering thermoplastics and VTC TPE Group, the compounder of custom formulated thermoplastic elastomers, have entered into a distribution agreement with Nordic Polymers to develop sales of their products in the Danish market.

Nordic Polymers, established in 1995, based in Helsinge Denmark, will be responsible for the market development and sales of Perrite’s range of thermoplastics which include Ronfalin ABS, Vitamide Polyamide (PA), Percom Polypropylene (PP), and Perlex Polycarbonate (PC) alongside VTC TPE Group’s range of Dryflex, Mediprene and Marfran thermoplastic elastomers (TPE).

David Hall, sales and marketing manager, Perrite commented, “This agreement will make Perrite’s range of world class products more easily available throughout the Danish region. We have already taken our first order for Ronfalin flame retardant ABS supplied in a range of colours and Nordic Polymers will continue to develop new applications utilising our wide range of halogen and antimony free, low smoke, UL certified flame-retardant compounds.”

According to Per G. Hellberg, managing director VTC TPE Group, this agreement combines the “strong, local sales coverage and technical expertise of Nordic Polymers with the innovative material solutions provided by VTC TPE Group.”
